Nightscapes: Nowruz – Performance by Ballet Afsaneh
Celebrate Nowruz with Persian dances led by Ballet Afsaneh and festive traditional music.
Ballet Afsaneh presents traditional dances celebrating the Persian New Year and the arrival of spring. Come prepared to join the dance!
Dances are accompanied by musicians Neema Hekmat and Nariman Assadi on ancient Iranian instruments: santur, a 72 string hammered dulcimer; tonbak, an Iranian goblet drum; and daf, an ancient hand-held frame drum.
This program is free with museum general admission as part of our Nightscapes: Nowruz celebration. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
