10 AM | Online via Zoom

Goddesses are central figures in many Asian religions: from fertile earth maidens to nurturing mothers, wrathful avengers, and wise advisors, female deities play important roles in the lives of their supplicants and followers. This program explores the many depictions of goddesses throughout Asia, using examples drawn from the Asian Art Museum’s permanent collection.

This one-hour virtual lecture by one of our community speaker docents is followed by a half-hour Q&A.
