Sound Art Performance by FAULTS
An improvised, site-specific, audio-visual performance followed by a meditative, ambient sound bath.
FAULTS is an improvising quartet comprised of Jorge Bachmann, Kevin Corcoran, Jaroba, and Gabby Wen. The group works with electronics, percussion, reeds, and guqin, a traditional Chinese stringed instrument, often partnering with collaborators to incorporate dance movement (Pei-Ling Kao) and visual projections (Andrej Hronco). FAULTS’ site-specific live improvisation is informed by interaction with the unique incidental sounds of the performance space. Their sound oscillates between quiet and loud, sparse and dense, weaving together textural noise, drone, floating melodic lines, and bristling percussive elements to create a rich and shifting electroacoustic dynamic.
This event is free with your general admission ticket.
Please note that space for this intimate performance in Lee Gallery is limited; guests will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.
