About Heiwa Taiko
Heiwa (“hay-wah”) Taiko is a group of dynamic and energetic grandmothers with an average age of 70 who love to spread the art and beauty of Taiko. Using 19-inch drums which they make themselves, Heiwa Taiko’s performances create a dynamic sound that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. They are based at Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church in Union City, CA.
