Donor Opening Brunch for Chiharu Shiota: Two Home Countries
Nexus members, Curator’s Forum members, Jade Circle members, and special guests are invited to join artist Chiharu Shiota in celebrating the new exhibition.
Join Osaka-born, Berlin-based artist Chiharu Shiota and Chief Curator Dr. Robert Mintz for a brunch and conversation celebrating the new exhibition Chiharu Shiota: Two Home Countries.
Marking Shiota’s first solo exhibition in the Bay Area, the exhibition incorporate sculptures, video, and performance works spanning her career. Shiota’s work has been featured in major exhibitions across Europe, South America, and Asia, drawing global audiences to her deeply immersive installations that explore memory, history, and identity.
