Baby Rave with DJ Chico Chi

Please note: Rave into the Future is closed to the public during this event. From 10:30 AM–12 PM and 1:30–3 PM, only Baby Rave attendees are allowed entry to the exhibition.

Inviting infants, parents, and caregivers to share in the collective energy of movement and sound, the “baby rave” is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for families to immerse themselves in a dynamic art experience, showing how the rhythms of the dance floor can nurture community across all ages. Featuring music under 85 decibels, this event is perfect for little ones to safely delight in the music and the moment. (For ears that are extra sensitive, feel free to bring headphones.) 

When Rave into the Future reopens to the public at 3 PM, DJ Chico Chi keeps the party going with a half-hour set for all to enjoy. Chi’s sonic selections feature a blend of genres informed by his Chinese-Cuban roots and a lifetime of absorbing regional sounds from across the nation.

Event entry is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

  About DJ Chico Chi

  Eli/Chico Chi (he/they) is a queer and nonbinary transmasc DJ, producer, and creative. Chi started their DJ journey in the Bay Area, creating safe(r) spaces and events for queer and transgender people of color. A cofounder of the music and production house and organizer/resident DJ of the Twin Cities-based global music party, he has shared lineups with Princess Nokia, Sosupersam, and DJ Abilities.
