Drawing from her new picture book “A Year of Kites,” Monisha will lead an engaging storytelling session and guide participants in hands‑on kite making. About the AuthorMonisha Bajaj is Professor of International and Multicultural Education at the University of San Francisco. She is the editor and author of numerous books and articles on international development, peace and human rights education, migration, gender, race, xenophobia, and environmental justice. “A Year of Kites” (2026) is her debut picture book, inspired by her lifelong love of kites as symbols of freedom and transcendence. Her work brings together storytelling, research, and community engagement to highlight the diverse ways people connect across cultures.
