About the SpeakerFirst-generation Asian American chef, entrepreneur, and brand spokesperson Kathy Fang starred in the Food Network/discovery+ docuseries “Chef Dynasty: House of Fang” and was a two-time “Chopped” champion; in 2023, a San Francisco magazine cover story dubbed her the city’s “culinary queen.” Fang discovered her passion for cooking growing up in her family’s iconic Chinese restaurant, House of Nanking. After a business career that included positions at Merrill Lynch and Johnson & Johnson, she attended Le Cordon Bleu culinary school before returning to San Francisco and partnering with her father, legendary chef Peter Fang, to open Fang restaurant, offering a sophisticated, multicultural take on China’s rich cuisine.
