Reiki Sound Bath with Sophie Leininger and Jeremy Mikush

Calm and reset your nervous system in this 90-minute session led by reiki practitioner Sophie Leininger and sound healer Jeremy Mikush. The pairing of reiki and sound healing guides participants into stillness, eases tension, and quiets the mind.  

Rooted in a Japanese tradition developed by Dr. Mikao Usui, reiki channels energy to support the body’s natural healing response and reduce stress; hands-on energy work is optional. Sound healing combines voice and instruments to harmonize energy and promote deep relaxation. 

Experience this restorative practice while seated or lying down amid the grandeur of Samsung Hall’s Beaux-Arts architecture. 

This workshop is free with general admission. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  Sophie Leininger

  Sophie Leininger (she/they) is an Oakland, CA– based multidisciplinary visual artist, arts worker, and healer. Leininger is a certified Reiki Level I and Level II practitioner and has received training from the HCH Institute in Lafayette, CA, as well as individual mentorship from numerous healers in the realms of energy, somatic, and sound healing, ancestor work, and plant medicine. Whether in art –making, cultural practice, or healing, her work centers collaboration, truth–telling, and an unapologetically free spirit, reflecting her foundational beliefs that the humorous and endearing can heal; camp can be chic; and strength can be found in vulnerability.

  Jeremy Mikush

  Jeremy Mikush (they/them) is a sound healer trained at the Globe Institute in Sausalito, CA. Mikush also holds an M.A. and C.Phil for completed doctoral coursework in Musicology at UCLA. Since 2013, they have music–directed cabaret and created live music salon events internationally. Mikush invokes timeless and ancient traditions in their sound rituals, creating a safe and sacred space for each person to rest, rejuvenate, and experience their own inner realms.
