Rina Ayuyang is a cartoonist and writer who has been a part of the vibrant Bay Area indie comics scene for over 20 years. Her stories explore identity, family, and community history. Rina’s critically acclaimed graphic novel, The Man in The McIntosh Suit, is a Filipino–American take on Depression-era noir featuring mistaken identities, speakeasies, and lost love in San Francisco’s Manilatown. It was named one of the Best Books of 2023 by the New York Public Library (NYPL). Rina also has contributed to Marvel Comics, Mutha Magazine, PEN America, and The Comics Journal.
